About Riverside Psychology

Lene is chartered by the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health Care Professions Council. She has completed a PhD in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, has thirty years experience in the field of clinical and academic psychology, and is a published author of books and academic journal articles.

Lene has extensive experience with mood and interpersonal challenges, and in specific diagnostic work with psychological trauma and neurodivergence. She has developed particular expertise in psychological aspects of physical conditions and chronic pain, and as such understands the complex interplay between physical and emotional health.

Lene delivers training and supervision on topics of expertise as advertised. She is a former Lecturer, and a peer-reviewed trainer in the third wave CBT model of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Lene is an IPF and BDFPA competitive powerlifter and British Powerlifting Coach, who offers powerlifting coaching within Results Gym in Aberdeen, and has a special interest in introducing beginners to powerlifting and the psychological and physical health benefits of powerlifting. Lene can provide psychological interventions in English and the Scandinavian languages.
